Nate graduated with his Masters in Systems and Enterprise Engineering on May 15th, and has been the perfect little house-husband since :). He's expanded his cooking skills and baking too, ran a million errands, painted our walls back to boring white and done a great job with all the chores while I've been working. A little role reversal for the time being, but I think he appreciates all I do a little bit better now. At least a little bit!?
In addition to saying goodbye to Champaign, we've also been townhouse shopping in the Aurora/Oswego area the last few weeks and finally signed the lease for a nice townhouse in Oswego. We're excited to be moving into a bigger place, with a garage and a little backyard! More room for Nate's toys, and maybe even some project space for me!
We' don't move into the new place til August though, so until then all of our stuff gets packed up by the movers this Monday and put in storage. A big thanks to Caterpillar for footing the bill!
We're starting this blog to help keep family and friends up to date with where we'll be this summer and to share some pictures and stories along the way. We can't promise to update daily, but we want people to know where we'll be so they can pray for our safety and join us on this journey. No 127 Hours stuck in the middle of nowhere for us!
We have about seven weeks of traveling ahead of us through about 21 States and a few more if our route on the way home changes.
Stop back for updates, photos along the way and hear about our adventures to come!
